San Francisco male impotence specialist, Advanced Male Medical Center, specializing in removing the difficulties that keep men from having a sex life, understands that diabetics often experience erectile dysfunction and offers advice on treatment options.

Erectile dysfunction is a common accompaniment of diabetes mellitus in males. The prevalence of impotence in these cases is 35 to 50 percent and may be due to either psychogenic or organic causes, Larry Stephens of Advanced Male Medical Center said.

Treatment of erectile dysfunction is a challenge because of its multifactorial causation in diabetics. However, Advanced Male Medical Center entreats diabetics to consider the following treatments:

What are some good natural supplements that can help a person with erectile dysfunction?

By on March 21, 2012 in Erectile Dysfunction Supplements

Question by Fred G: What are some good natural supplements that can help a person with erectile dysfunction?
i have tried yohimbe bark it didnt work made me feel dizzy

Best answer:

Answer by Doctor J
Hi Fred. Try 6-9 grams per day (2 to 3 grams, 3 times per day) of the amino acid L-Arginine. L-Arginine is converted into Nitric Oxide – a molecule that is critical for vascular health and for erections. Viagra and related ED drugs work by enhancing the body’s response to Nitric Oxide.

Additionally, take 1000-1500 milligrams per day of vitamin C and 400-800 milligrams per day of folate (folic acid – a B-vitamin). These two vitamins are critical for maintaining the cofactor for the enzyme that converts L-Arginine to Nitric Oxide.

Do not expect ‘immediate results’. Your body will need to build up ‘reserves’.

Additionally, several medical studies have found that Acetyl-L-Carnitine is helpful for erectile dysfunction. You will need to take 2-4 grams per day.

Best wishes and good luck.

Question by Scuby dooby: Are penile implants used for erectile dysfunction or cosmetic reasons or both?

Best answer:

Answer by Connor
For men who can’t get erections on their own anymore even with medication and pumps etc. So erectile dysfunction. The perpose of an implant is just to get an erection. That can’t be used cosmeticly.

San Franciscos Advanced Male Medical Center announces the availability of new special programs and solutions that help men of all ages be treated and checked for medical-related problems, such as erectile dysfunction. The medical center is dedicated to finding the best solution to cure the problem.

I thought it was me. She thought it was her. Turns out it was my diabetes. Advanced guaranteed their medication would work, and they were right, or it was free,” one satisfied client said.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the persistent inability to attain or maintain a penile erection sufficient to permit satisfactory sexual intercourse, according to the NIH Consensus Conference in 1993. In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that ED afflicts 30 million men, but only 10 percent have received treatment (NIH Consensus Conference, 1993; American Association of Retired Persons, 1999). Although ED is not an inevitable consequence of aging, its prevalence and severity increase with age (Laumann et al, 1999). As the world’s population continues to increase and to live longer, it is predicted that 322 million men worldwide will suffer from this disorder by the year 2025 (Aytac et al, 1999).

Advanced Male Medical Centers treatment options vary according to each individual patients needs and special circumstances due to past history of either diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, alcoholism, drug use, prostate cancer and other medical issues. The medical center offers several treatment protocols.

Our doctors treat each and every patients sexual needs and physical desires on an individual basis. Because we are dedicated solely to this medical condition, we far exceed what an average doctor visit may be able to offer. Our trained medical staff has been treating patients with erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation for more than 10 years. We understand the intense need for help and answers for this common and treatable condition, Larry Stephens of Advance Male Medical Center said.

Q&A: Is it possible for young men to have erectile dysfunction?

By on March 17, 2012 in Erectile Dysfunction In Young Men

Question by walkerluke31: Is it possible for young men to have erectile dysfunction?
I am in my late teens and for the past year or so I have been having difficulty getting and keeping an erection. I’ve been to my personal physician to have my testosterone and hormone levels checked and everything came back normal. Yet, when i participate in sexual activities I tend to have a hard time getting and keeping it hard and I usually end up ejaculating early in the session. Could it be possible for me to have an erectile dysfunction and if so are there any over the counter medicines or remedies for this that actually help? Any advice would be helpful.

Best answer:

Answer by King Derrick Lovebug
Forget pills…you are too young…its performance anxiety….I’ve been there before…. erection strengthening exercises will help too…. I repeat you do not have erectile dysfunction, and do not need pills.

Question by Andrew: 22 year old using medicine to treat erectile dysfunction?
I am considering talking to my doctor about using medicine to treat erectile dysfunction, but I am only 22 years old. Is this a complete waste of time, or is there a chance he will allow me to use the medication?

Best answer:

Answer by Nurse Practitioner 32 years
If you ar 22 and having ED, you need to find out why. Just putting you on medication at this age is not a good idea without first trying to find the reason for the problem. Good luck.

The law firm of dOliveira & Associates, P.C. is currently informing men who have developed erectile dysfunction after using Propecia of their possible legal claims. dOliveira & Associates is working with some of the leading attorneys in the United States who are representing clients who have been injured by Propecia.

Propecia is a type of drug known as a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor (5-ARI). These types of drugs work by altering the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The change in the hormones reduces the occurrence of male pattern baldness, and also can be used to treat an enlarged prostate. The scientific name for the drug is finasteride, and it is marketed for hair loss under the brand name Propecia, and for an enlarged prostate under the name Proscar. Both Proscar and Propecia are manufactured by Merck, but variations on finasteride are also available through generic manufacturers under the names Avodart and Jalyn.

Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21176115

Recent studies, including one published by Boston University researchers, suggest that the link between Propecia and erectile dysfunctions is greater than initially reported by Merck. In 2008, the drug company manufacturing Propecia and Proscar changed the drugs labels to include sexual side effects, including erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, and problems with ejaculation. However, the warnings did not inform consumers that the sexual side effects can last long after the drug is discontinued, and can even be permanent.

Several lawsuits against Merck have already been filed by men who developed these serious, lasting side effects after taking Propecia. dOliveira & Associates, P.C. has recently begun a campaign alerting men about their legal options if they suffered a sexual side effect due to Propecia. dOliveira & Associates, P.C. is working with some of the leading lawyers in the United States who are handling these cases.

For more information about the awareness campaign regarding Propecia and erectile dysfunction, please call the law offices of dOliveira & Associates, P.C. toll-free at 1-800-992-6878 or visit Personal Injury Lawyer.

Q&A: Does this mean erectile dysfunction was psychological?

By on March 13, 2012 in Erectile Dysfunction Psychological

Question by scjazzguitar: Does this mean erectile dysfunction was psychological?
I had trouble getting an erection for awhile but gave masturbating a break for awhile and last night I was able to get an erection 5 times just by looking at a picture of a girl in a bathing suit. Does this mean I do not have erectile dysfunction and if I did the problem was not related to anything medical?

Best answer:

Answer by fidgit
At your age (near mid-20′s) you shouldn’t be having ED problems. Maybe you shud cut back on the daily masturbaton. I would think your lack of erections would be caused by something else in your daily life.
